Meeting Minutes
You will find a brief
description of what went on at meetings held at the Fire
Department.
March 1, 2004 Monthly Meeting
-
New Cadets accepted into program; Luis Venzor
and Brad Parsons.
-
Application for David Johnson sent to the
Executive Committee for approval to be a firefighter.
-
Fire Prevention Trailer is in and projects will
begin.
-
Fire school applications need to be sent in
early this year.
-
March 27 will be the Mountain Oyster feed for
firefighters, city council, rural board, and honorary
firefighters. More information to come.
10/06/03 -- Monthly
Meeting -- October
-
Firefighters were asked to
help out at the Auxiliary's 2003 Soup Dinner on November 1 and
2.
-
An American Flag will be hung
in the Apparatus room reference the donation of the flag from
Schuyler patrons.
-
Clean up will be October 30th.
-
Drills will be October 15th
and October 23.
-
Jr. Fire Patrol is meeting
each Thursday and members were asked to attend if possible.
-
Craig Jacobus announced a
class being offered at the station on October 21 @7p.m. on
Traumatic Brain Injury.
8/04/03 -- Monthly Meeting --
August
-
Members were reminded of
annual clean up which will be Aug 28 and Aug 29. All
firefighters are expected to be on roll sheet.

The grand Schuyler Fire
received was discussed along with ideas on what is needed/wanted
on the fire prevention trailer.
7/07/03 -- Monthly Meeting --
July
-
It was decided by Lt. Brad
Sock, training officer, that there will be two drills per
month for the remainder of the year to help brush up on
skills.
-
Clean Up will be July 28.
-
Cadet Tom Venzor suggested the
department start thinking about new recruiting measures to
help boost the cadet program at SFD.

Treasurer Paul Krupka presented
new T-shirt designs made by Quintin Nelson which the
department moved to start using.

Chad Mertz and Craig Jacobus's
applications were read to the department and then were sent to
the E-Board meeting to be approved.
-
The west parking lot was
discussed as to what will be done now that the railroad ties
are gone. Brad Sock will look into a fence being put up
and Dan Kracl will check about black topping the lot.
